DT - Winter Wonderland 4/2021

My blog has been extremely silent lately, thanks to busy times at work for the past months. I have created some cards for the DT-positions I am currently in but they have been missing from my our blog.

Blogini on ollut erittäin hiljainen viime aikoina, kiitos työkiireiden, joiden parissa olen ollut viime kuukaudet. Olen tehnyt muutamia DT-tekeleitä, mutta niitäkään en ole saanut blogiin asti näytille.

We are currently having a new challenge at Winter Wonderland - the theme for this month is

Peace on Earth

On my creation I used a beautiful image from our sponsor Sheep Ski Designs. Image is called Winter Deer and I colored it with markers: EB5 and GB10 from Spectrum Noir, light green Metallic Marker (Letraset) and a ProMarker blender pen. Snowflakes are made with a white Sakura gelly roll pen. Image is cut with a circle Spellbinders die and frame underneath is with a Nellie Snellen die. Designer paper is a digital one from Touched By a Butterfly. I shaded the framing paper (under dp and image) with a EB5 Spectrum Noir marker to match better the color scheme on the card. Dark brown polka-dot card candies and a die-cut snowflake (die: Papercrafts) with a brown rhinestone center for embellishments.

Kortissani käytin kaunista kuvaa, joka on peräisin sponsoriltamme Sheep Ski Designs 'lta. Digikuviopaperi on Touched By a Butterfly 'n tuotantoa. Sävytin kehyspaperin (kuvan ja kuviopaperin alla) Spectrum Noirin EB5-sävyisellä tussilla, jotta se sopi paremmin kortin värimaailmaan. Tummanruskeat pilkulliset card candit ja stanssattu lumihiutale (stanssi: Papercrafts) kera ruskean akryylijalokivikeskustan päätyivät kortin koristeiksi.

Kortti nro 2/2021 - MYYTY

This time I decorated the inside of the card a bit more than usual. A leftover piece of the designer paper and a stamped sentiment. Sentiment stamp is from Stampendous, rich cocoa Memento ink and the sentiment itself is in Finnish and wishing "Merry Christmas".

Tällä kertaa päädyin koristelemaan kortin sisustaa hieman normaalia enemmän. Kuviopaperin ylijäämäsuikale sai kaverikseen leimatun jouluntoivotuksen. Leimasin on Stampendousin tuotantoa ja musteena käytin rich cocoa -sävyistä Mementoa.

DT - Winter Wonderland 12/2020

It is December and time for our last challenge of the year at Winter Wonderland. This time we have an easy theme:

Anything Goes

It has been a while since my last "nothing but scraps" creation but there has been a lot of new snippets coming from the Christmas cards that I have made recently so I decided to give some of them a "new life" in my DT-creation.

Joulukuu on koittanut ja sen myötä aika vuoden viimeisen Winter Wonderland -haasteen. Tällä kertaa helpolla teemalla:

Kaikki käy

Siitä onkin jo kulunut aikaa, kun viimeiksi tein "silppukortin", mutta koska viime aikoina on uusia ylijäämäsuikaleita siunaantunut melkoisessa määrin joulukorttien teosta, niin päätin antaa muutamille niille "uuden elämän" DT-kortissani.

The theme was "Anything goes" also for us in the DT-team and since we got to choose our own image (no sponsor image this time) as well, I ended up using this cutie snowmen digi stamp from Bugaboo. Image is colored with ProMarkers (listed below) and for the snow I used white embossing powder. Sentiment is in Finnish, wishing "Joyful Christmas!" and it is made with MS Word + printed out. On the dp strips I drew some stitching with white Sakura gelly roll pen. Embellishments are ab-shiny pink flat-back pearls and the pink framing paper around all the pieces are a recycled old alpine skiing records (have plenty of these since I used to do this when I was younger).

Teema oli "Mitä vain" myös meille DT-tiimiläisille ja koska saimme valita oman kuvamme (ei sponsorilta tulleita kuvia tällä kertaa), niin päädyin käyttämään kivaa talvista lumiukkokuvaa, joka on digileima Bugaboolta. Kuvan väritin ProMarker-tusseilla (listattuna alla) ja lumiefektin tein valkoisella embossauspulverilla. Teksti on tehty tietokoneella ja tulostettu. Kuviopapereiden reunoille piirsin tikkikuosin valkoisella Sakuran gelly roll -kynällä. Koristeiksi valitsin ab-hohtoisia (eli ns. "revontulen väreissä hehkuvia") pinkkejä puolihelmiä ja kaikki kortin osaset on kehystetty vaaleanpunaisella paperilla, joka on kierrätetty vanhoista alppihiihtotuloksista (näitä minulla riittää, sillä harrastin kyseistä lajia nuorempana).

DT - Winter Wonderland 11/2020

It is challenge time at Winter Wonderland - this time with the theme

Wings

On my card I used an image called Catch, it is from our sponsor SheepSki Designs and I colored it with ProMarkers. Snowflake paper is from Karen Diamond and polka dot from Granny Enchanted -- both papers are digital ones and cut with an unbranded wavy fake-stitching die. Paper used for framing the image and DPs was originally white but I shaded it with a dark grey ProMarker pen to match the color scheme better. Sentiment is a digital one from The Beary Scrap, snowflake is cut with a Papercrafts die and I used my favorite embellies, card candies, for finishing touch.

Korttiini päätyi sponsorimme SheepSki Designs 'n digileimakuva nimeltään Catch ja väritin sen ProMarker-tusseilla. Lumihiutalekuosinen kuviopaperi on Karen Diamondin ja pilkullinen Granny Enchantedin -- molemmat ovat digipapereita ja leikattu brändittömällä aaltoilevalla valetikkaus-stanssilla. Kuvan ja kuviopapereiden "kehystämiseen" käytetty paperi oli alunperin valkoinen, mutta sävytin sen tummanharmaalla ProMarkerin tussilla, jotta sain sen sopimaan paremmin kortin värimaailmaan. Englanninkielinen teksti on The Beary Scrapin (digi) ja suomennos sille on "Lämpimät talviset toivotukset". Lumihiutale on leikattu Papercraftsin stanssilla ja koristeina kortista löytyy minun lempikoristeitani eli card candyja.

DT - Winter Wonderland 10/2020

The theme for this month's challenge at Winter Wonderland is

Penguins

We got to play with two cute images from our sponsor Twinkle Lane Design and for my card I chose an image called Playful Penguins. Image is colored with ProMarkers and the snow (on the ground and trees) is made with white embossing powder. Designer paper is a digital one from Maurine Stettler. Circle dies are from a die set (Spellbinders), leaves a new purchase (unbranded) and letters, forming "Joyful Christmas" in Finnish, cut with a Wingo Zingo alphabet die (Sizzix). Shiny acrylic stars and card candies for embellies this time.

Saimme käyttöömme kaksi suloista digileimaa sponsoriltamme Twinkle Lane Design 'lta, ja korttiini valitsin niistä kuvan nimeltä Playful Penguins. Kuva on väritetty promarkereilla ja lumi (maassa ja puissa) tehty valkoisella embossausjauheella. Digikuviopaperi on Maurine Stettlerilta. DT - Winter Wonderland 9/2020

It is time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland - with the theme:

Snow / Snowmen

The cute image that I used on my card is from our sponsor Bugaboo and called Three Snowmen. I colored the image with ProMarkers and the snow effect is made with a white embossing powder. Designer paper is a digital one from Free Craft Downloads and the Finnish sentiment "Merry Christmas!" is made with MS Word and printed out. White flowers are cut with new dies (unbranded from abroad) out of recycled cardboard (old marketing material from my grandparent's grocery store they used to have -- believe it or not but it might be even from the 60s or 70s !) and they have a lot of blingy rhinestones on them.

Valkoiset kukat/talventörröttäjät on leikattu uusilla stansseilla (ulkomailta tilatut ei-minkään-merkkiset) kierrätyskartongista, joka on peräisin isovanhemmillani olleesta 'sekatavarakaupasta' -- ja usko tai älä, mutta kartonki voi olla jopa 60- tai 70-luvulta. Ja roimasti vielä blingblingiä mukaan erikokoisilla akryylijalokivillä.

DT - Winter Wonderland 8/2020

This is my very first challenge as a DT member at Winter Wonderland. This time we are working with two sketches to choose from and also the theme of embossing (wet or dry).

Tämä on minun ensimmäinen DT-tekeleeni Winter Wonderland -haasteeseen . Tällä kerralla tarjolla on kaksi luonnosta valittavaksi sekä lisäksi teema embossaus/kohokuviointi.

I chose to use the sketch on the right and for the star of my card I chose a perfectly-fitting-to-year-2020 digi stamp called Selfie Santa. Image is from our sponsor Doctor Digi and I colored it with ProMarkers. Designer paper is a digital one from Far Far Hill. Embossing folder is a new purchase from abroad (unbranded) and the cardstock of it is from a recycled cracker box. Snowflakes are cut with a Papercrafts die and to bring some bling I chose to use red rhinestones in their centers.

Korttini pohjaksi valitsin oikeanpuolimmaisen luonnoksen ja päätähdeksi nykyaikaan todella hyvin sopivan digileimakuvan, joka on nimeltään Selfie Santa ja peräisin sponsoriltamme Doctor Digilta. Kuva väritin promarkereilla. Taustan kuviopaperi on Far Far Hillin digikuviopaperi. Kohokuviointikansio on uusi ostos ulkomailta (ei-minkään-merkkinen) ja kartonki siinä kierrätetty hapankorppupakkaus. Lumihiutaleet leikattu Papercraftsin stanssilla ja keskustoina niissä hieman blingblingiä tuomaan punaiset akryylijalokivet.

Uusi DT-pesti

Uutta DT-pestiä pukkaa, sillä tulin valituksi Winter Wonderland -haastesivuston DT-tiimin jäseneksi. Innokkaana ja iloisin mielin hommaan lähden mukaan, ja itse asiassa, huomenna putkahtaa ulos jo ensimmäinen DT-tekeleeni haasteeseen, joten kipaisepas takaisin silloin katsomaan, mitä olen saanut aikaiseksi :)

I got chosen as a new DT member at Winter Wonderland challenge site. Joyful and happy to join in, and actually, it is already tomorrow when my first DT-creation will be on air so hop back then to check out what I have made for my very first challenge :)
