Silpuista taustoja

Selailin kuviopapereiden silppulaatikon sisältöä ja totesin niitä minulle olevan kertynyt todella paljon. Ja koska silloin tällöin teen kortteja, joiden taustat ovat pelkästään kuviopaperisilpuista tehtyjä, niin sain idean, että miksipä en tekisi muutamia taustoja jo valmiiksi odottamaan.

Sinisävyiset taustat tein ns joulupaperisilpuista (ovat erillään muista silpuista) ja pinkki sitten "yleisen" laatikon sisällöstä. Taustat ovat jo kiinni korttipohjissa, joten sujautin niiden sisälle mukaan ylijäämäpalasen kartokia, jota käytin silppujen kehystämiseen, jotta voin käyttää sitä esim kuvan/tekstin kehyksenä tai leikata/stanssata siitä korttiin kuvioita koristeeksi.

I was browsing through my box of stored designer paper scraps and since there were a lot of them and I occasionally create cards where the background are made with nothing but them, I got on idea "why not make some of those backgrounds ready and waiting to be completed into a final creation".

Blue shaded ones I created out of Christmas scraps (I store them separately from other scraps) and pink one is from "general" ones. I already attached the backgrounds to card bases so I put the leftover piece of the card board, that I used for framing the scraps, inside the card so that it can be used for e.g. framing the image/sentiment or for (die) cutting decorations for the card.

And I am sure that Sue likes this kind of way of using scraps so I am participating in her Snippets Playground challenge with my creations.

Maanantaina sitten blogiin tulossa uusin tekemäni ystävänpäiväkortti (pienenä teaserina: kortin päätähtenä tulee olemaan kuva, jota olen aiemmin käyttänyt pääsiäiskortissa).
