Siluettiporo

Joskus kun aivoissa lyö täysin tyhjää on oiva apu haasteista löytyvät luonnokset. Niiden avulla pääsee edes jollain tapaa käyntiin kortin teossa. Tämänkertaisen avun sain Cheerful Sketchesilta:

Muistin valmiiksitulostettujen digikuvien joukossa olevan Bugaboon kauniin siluettiporon -- taitaa kyllä ennemmin olla peura tai vastaava eläin, mutta kun Suomessa ollaan, niin päätin eläimen olevan poro :) Taustan digikuvipaperi on Bits O'Scrapilta, turkoosi paperi silppulaatikosta, teksti tehty itse MS Wordilla, lumihiutaleboordistanssi Marianne Designen ja lumihiutale todennäköisesti Fiskarsin kuvioleikkurilla leikattu (nappasin sen valmiiden stanssi-/kuvioleikkurikoristeiden seasta). Kaikki pyöreät stanssit ovat Spellbindersin ja 'aaltoreunaiset' neliöt Crafter's Companionin -- uskoakseni myös ne ovat näitä minun vanhoja ostoksia, jotka eivät ole päässeet aikaisemmin korttiin. Tekstin kohotin irti taustasta kotikutoisilla 3d-palasilla ja koristeina kortissa on vielä muutama ab-hohtoinen puolihelmi.

I remembered I had a beautiful silhouette reindeer -- the animal is probably a deer or something similar but because I live in Finland I decided it had to be a reindeer :) -- in my box of pre-printed digital stamps (this one is from Bugaboo) and I started making my card around that. Background designer paper is a digital one from Bits O'Scrap, turquoise one from stashed scraps, sentiment (wishing "Merry Christmas" in Finnish) is selfmade in MS Word, snowflake border die is from Marianne Design and snowflake is probably punched with a Fiskars punch (grabbed it from my box of random die-cuts and punched items). All circle dies are from Spellbinders and 'wavy' squares are cut with Crafter's Companion dies -- these are also purchased ages ago but never been used in a card before. Sentiment is lifted up from the background with selfmade 3d-pieces and I added some ab-shiny flat-back pearls for finishing touch.

Tilauksen toinen kortti

Joulukorttitilauksen parissa jatketaan. Leimakuvan löysin saatujen kuvien laatikosta -- ja se on Inkadinkadon tuotantoa (kiitokset Kathylle ja Marielle valmistajatiedosta). Kortin kasasin tällä kertaa hieman "nurinkurisesti", sillä leikkasin Nellie Snellenin stanssilla Bits O'Scrapin digikuviopaperiin keskelle ovaalin reiän ja kiinnitin paperin leimatun kuvan päälle.

Lumihiutaleboordi on leikattu Marianne Designen stanssilla kierrätysvaahtomuovista, joka alunperin tuli jonkun laatikkoon pakatun tuotteen pehmikkeenä. Lisäksi sipaisin hiutaleiden keskelle hieman diamond -sävyistä Sticklesin kimalleliimaa. Teksti tehdy dymolla ja koristeina puolihelmiä.

I have received this lovely stamped Inkadinkado image from a crafting friend (thank you Kathy and Marie for the manufacturer information). Card itself was build up "disorderly" since I cut an oval hole (with Nellie Snellen die) in the designer paper (Bits O'Scrap) and attached it on the stamped image instead of under it.

Snowflake border is cut with a Marianne Design die out of a recycled foam material that came originally as a protection wrap around an ordered item. I added a bit of shine in the snowflake centers with diamond Stickles. Finnish sentiment, made with a Dymo label maker, doesn't translate to English well but it is about the sentimental spirit of Christmas. Flat-back pearls for finishing touch.

Eräkortti #2

Tarinaa kortin taustasta löytyy ensimmäisen kortin yhteydestä. Dustin Piken vaahtokarkkiörkin taustalle maskasin Flat Friendsin teltan ja koko komeuden väritin promarkereilla. Neliöstanssit Spellbindersin. Molemmat kuviopaperit ovat digipapereita, alempi Bits O'Scrapin ja puukuosinen Joy's Creationsin. Oksa ja kävyt stanssattu Marianne Designin palkintosetillä ja koristeina lisänä vielä muutama suklaanruskea puolihelmi.

Some story behind this card can be found with the first version. I masked two images; Dustin Pike 's creature and Flat Friends 's tent, and colored them with ProMarkers. Square dies are from Spellbinders. Both designer papers are digital ones, lower one is from Bits O'Scrap and tree patterned one from Joy's Creations. Branch and cones are cut with Marianne Design prize die set and for embellishments I added some chocolate brown flat-back pearls.
